About Us

By choosing Birmingham, you are joining a large, diverse and vibrant postgraduate community. Whatever the nature of your programme, we aim to provide a stimulating and engaging study experience of the highest quality.

Our campus

Located in Edgbaston, our campus is not only a green and beautiful place to learn but is also a thriving hub of student life. It is also only a seven-minute train journey from the city centre, which is perfect for those students who want a balance of a city and a campus experience. It is also well served by local bus routes for those students looking to live away from campus.

Our city

Birmingham has so much to offer, whatever you enjoy. As one of the original pioneering cities, Birmingham has developed into a melting pot for shopping, food and drink, nightlife, sport, culture, and industry. From museums and art galleries, to canals and parks, there are so many things to enjoy.

Student support

Whatever your circumstances and requirements, we will make sure that you have all the support you need to make the most of your time at Birmingham. We have dedicated support for both Masters and PhD students and offer disability and dyslexia support, as well as non-academic related support.

Accommodation

As a postgraduate student, you may wish to live on campus or in the local area. We have a number of options for postgraduate students looking to stay in university-owned accommodation, with en-suite options available. We guarantee accommodation to all EU and International postgraduate students that are new to Birmingham if you meet the guarantee requirements and accommodation application deadlines.

There are also many private accommodation options available in the surrounding areas such as Selly Oak and Harborne. Other population locations include the City Centre, Kings Heath, Moseley or Stirchley.
